anne

Anne brings a grounded, pragmatic, and attuned presence to all aspects of her work, from direct practice to consultation, training and curriculum development. Possessing a unique ability to take complex psycho-neuro-biological concepts regarding the human experience and convey them clearly and accessible she is able to effectively communicate with a 6-year-old traumatized boy and his mother or a Medical Doctor, with an adopted teenager or a front line residential worker.

Trained at Columbia University’s School of Social Work, with over 30 years of mental health experience, Anne continues to support children, adolescents, adults, caregivers, and mental health providers who have experienced or seek to help others heal from the impact of trauma and attachment disturbance.

Most recently, Anne formed SMARTMoves, a partnership with Dr. Liz Warner, Heather Finn and Alexandra Cook, to continue their collaborative efforts to research and training SMART a child centered full body treatment for traumatized children.  Their book, SMART is due out Spring 2020, North Atlantic Press.

Anne is certified in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, trains around the U.S. for Pat Ogden’s Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute, and supports the Institute with curriculum development.
